RAF Air Cadets
Are you looking for adventure?

1039 (Gillingham) Squadron is one of almost 1,000 RAF Air Cadet squadrons across the United Kingdom offering a unique experience to young people aged 12 to 20.

Thanks to our dedicated team of adult volunteers, we are able to offer activities including fieldcraft, flying, shooting and sports, whilst teaching every cadet valuable skills in communication, leadership and teamwork. As a cadet, you will have the opportunity to earn formal qualifications from the activities on offer, in addition to a wide range of enjoyable weekend or week-long activities which will enhance your future job prospects.

We are proud of our place in the Royal Air Force family, but the training we provide will be equally invaluable whether you are hoping to join the armed forces or pursue a civilian career. Some of our former cadets have gone on to serve in all branches of the armed forces, while others have forged careers in fields including banking, law, mechanics and teaching.

If you think you would like to take on a new challenge, why not take a look around our website to see who we are and what we do - and don't forget to keep up to date with our latest news and events on Facebook and Twitter.

We always welcome new cadets and adult volunteers, and look forward to welcoming you into the RAF Air Cadets very soon.
